We choose to ascend a route from the north side of the mountain from the Kenya side. The weather was very good the entire trek. The film crews stayed busy capturing the footage of the day to day climb and around camp. Chirs looks forward to returning to Africa and climbing Kilimanjaro to the top in Febuary 2009.

KILIMANJARO: MACHAME ROUTE Summit: June 19th 2008

Again we enjoyed great weather. We had a little more rain on the first and last days. The summit was clear and calm. The highlight of the trek was we climbed the summit night under the light of the FULLMOON it was super! All members successfully made Uhuru peak 19,340′

We finished our african experience by exploring Tanzaina on a 4 day safari…

Human Outreach Project: Tanzania Africa: Usa River Medical Centre

 

Usa River Tanzania: After each climb on Kilimanajaro we visit Dr. Charles at eh Usa River Medical Centre. This small emergency clinic services more the 15,000 people with limited facilties. Care here is for emergency services and hope to transfer some after the first 72 hours is critical. World Wide Trekkers have devlivered dozens of bags full of emergency medical supplies for the public clinic.
